About event
Dear friends, girlfriends, honored jazz fans. The history of the T&R Band is reminded that it began to be written in 1961, when the traditional club was established
Bratislava and a short time later (1962), an independent orchestra revival Jazz Band was created. These two musical formations were very important in the Slovak and foreign music scene. An important milestone of the history of traditional jazz in Slovakia was 1985, when the natural connection of the orchestras in question was naturally combined and the legendary traditional & Revival Band was also known under the abbreviation T&R Band.
With his musical and concert activities he recorded a very important and inspiring cooperation with many orchestras and soloists. The orchestra has repeatedly performed in more than 20 countries of the world from Norway to Tunis and Russia to California and co -appeared with such personalities as Benny Goodman, Stan Getz, Anita O'Day, Lionel Hampton, Acker Bilk, Chris Barber, Albert Nicholas, Max Greger a.i. During their time on the
jazz scene, they participated in countless festivals, competitions, shows, television, film and radio shows, released more than 20 carriers (LP and CD).
Significant jubilee and concerts on the occasion of the 40th, 55th, and then the 60th anniversary of the founding of the orchestra were a motivation for the smooth and permanent concert activity and music, which, by its spontaneity and vitality, still addresses the audience of today's generation.
"Traditional & Revival Band"
plays in a permanent and current occupation:
Patrícia Páleníčková - guitar/bendjo/singing
Vlado Vizár - Trombon,
Barnabas Kollárik - altsax/Klarinet,
Čapkovič- drums.
We invite you to a jazz meeting, a great wine and a friendly atmosphere!
