About event
On the occasion of the 750th anniversary of the death of St. Thomas Aquinas (and also next year, 800 years after his birth), an important relic - the skull of St. Tomas, which for years has been cared for by the Dominican monastery in Toulouse.
In our church (which was originally founded as a Dominican church in the 13th century), thanks to the Dominican brothers, we will have the opportunity not only to see such an important relic, but above all, we want to convey the intellectual legacy of this important personality of European theology.
In the service of the word celebrated by Mons. Tomáš Halík, and in the subsequent meditation we will let the stimulating texts of this theologian and teacher of faith be heard, which will complement the contemplative silence and common singing.
The singing of the song from Taizé will remind us both of Tomáš's work in France and also of the fact that he himself was the composer of many hymns , connected especially with respect for the Eucharist.
The church will be open from 5.30 p.m.
