Another Saturday Tiny concert, this time performed by Milli Janatková and Jarda Kořán! Electronics, rhythm, singing and sounds, ambient and a beautiful summer atmosphere. About the project: https://millijanatkova.com/pisne-dne-a-noci/
Milli Janatková and Jaroslav Kořán christened the album Songs of the Day and Songs of the Night in cooperation with the Blue Lizard publishing house in May 2026 at the Unijazz Reading Room in Prague. The double album is a cross-section of fifteen years of musical collaboration, which began when they met at a dance conservatory, where they both worked as pedagogues. Joint improvisations were gradually created while recording in a home studio in Prague and at a cottage in Pošumaví. On top of Kořán's musical motifs, Janatková layered spontaneous vocal improvisations, which were subsequently supplemented with other instruments and sound adjustments. The result is a varied collection of compositions oscillating between energetic improvisation and ambient surfaces, inspired by the sounds of nature and the city and the common playfulness of both authors. In addition, their work celebrates simple everyday life and perceptive observation of the surrounding world.

The double album is a cross-section of their fifteen-year musical collaboration, which began when they first met in 2010 at the conservatory where they were both teaching. Their joint improvisations gradually took shape during recording sessions in a home studio in Prague as well as at a cottage in the Bohemia Forest region. The album is launched at Blue Lizard Publishing. Building on Kořán's musical motifs, Janatková layered spontaneous vocal improvisations, later enriched with additional instruments and sound design. The result is a diverse collection of tracks oscillating between energetic improvisation and ambient soundscapes, inspired by the sounds of both nature and the city, as well as the shared playfulness of the two artists. Their work also humorously celebrates simple everyday life and the attentive observation of the surrounding world.
