About event
We invite you to the screening on the occasion of Francophonie Day!
Switzerland, end of II. world war. Fifteen-year-old Ema lives in a closed rural Protestant community and her future seems predetermined. When she becomes pregnant after being raped, she suddenly faces a rigid and patriarchal system that is merciless towards women like her. But Ema decides to resist the pressure of the environment and moral hypocrisy and transform her trauma into a path to personal liberation.
The film is a tribute to all women who had to fight many invisible battles to regain their autonomy.
The short film Femmes debut will be shown before the film.
