LADISLAV FANČOVIČ is well known to Slovak audiences as a virtuoso pianist, soloist of the Philharmonic Orchestra and sought-after chamber musician. However, he has already become no less famous as a saxophonist and promoter of this instrument in classical music. He studied classical saxophone in the Netherlands at the Fontys Academy of Music and Performing Art in the class of one of the greatest personalities of the classical saxophone, Andreas van Zoelen. He received his doctorate at the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica and is currently a saxophone teacher at the Academy of Performing Arts and a member of the world-famous Rascher Saxophone Quartet. KEN-WASSIM UBUKATA is the deputy concertmaster of the cello group in the Slovak Philharmonic. He comes from France and studied cello at the Conservatoire National Supérieur Musique et Danse in Lyon and at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik in Trossingen. He performed as a chamber musician in Europe and Asia and is currently actively involved in conducting, which he studies at the Academy of Music.
