About event
I ceased to exist. Of my own free will. Self-inflicted. Without coercion. Without hesitation. I stopped existing because I thought the real world would hurt me.
The Island of Misfit Toys is a tragicomic story of two lost souls about the fragility and power of friendship in the queer community. Rachel and Babygirl meet in a parallel island reality where misfit toys longing for acceptance and a home await. How to break the absurd carousel of waiting and find a way out of the fairy-tale trap?
The author's project of the director Tomáš "Grófka" Procházka is a hybrid form that connects the authenticity of the documentary, performance art and drama. It is based on a personal experience with addiction to narcotic substances and alcohol and was created as a collective creation directly for the experimental space Studia.
The guest Martin Talaga – winner of the Thália 2025 award in the Alternative Theater category.
