An erotic evening for four suddenly holds more than just sexual temptations in store...
A murder investigation in a painter's studio reveals moral abysses...
In a mental asylum, the boundaries of madness are fluid...
And we experience the touching story of a very special engagement...
All these stories, in which the world is turned upside down, await you in the 10th instalment of our Grand Guignol series ‘The Cabinet of Doctor Tumblety’! First started over 13 years ago in Cologne's smallest theatre, the concept developed into a series of elaborate shows that ran for up to 12 months at a time, continued on tour, made it to Hamburg and has now been back to its original concept in Prague for almost 3 years: these shows are performed exclusively in front of a small audience only once, before our ensemble devotes itself to large, full-length plays.
Short plays, without scare jumps, without supernatural elements, and every drop of (fake) blood spilled only in the service of these disturbing stories, plus a morbid narrator who guides you through the evening - this is now for the tenth time unmistakably THE CABINET OF DOCTOR TUMBLETY.
Our Group had always used different techniques – scenes supplemented by monologues, sound recordings and read texts – to show the various facets of this genre of theater, from intimate chamber play-like horror stories to lurid short acts. And Part X once again features of our most beloved Characters: The Horror-Host! So you won’t be alone on this evening of Thrills, though it does not mean this Ghoul of the Month will be of any help to you…
