The Berlin Ceilidh feat. Nightlark

For everyone who knows what a ceilidh is: Finally! Berlin gets its regular ceilidh, monthly Thursdays in the Kulturbrauerei. For those who are curious: an evening of dancing to live Scottish-Irish music. No previous knowledge is necessary, each dance is explained in advance by the ceilidh band caller. Come and dance as you are, no matter how old, whether alone or with friends, whether with or without a partner - there are dances in all possible formations, from two to three to eight to many, and for each dance the number of people asked is called. A ceilidh is very social and a great way to meet new people. The music is very energetic and gives even the most difficult day a good ending. Caution! Ceilidh is addictive. It's a good thing that the next date has already been set.

Nightlark are Patrizia Sieweck, violin/caller, Jane South, flute/accordion, and Robert York, guitar. They play contemporary and traditional folk music from America and Europe and have been playing professional ceilidhs in Berlin and the surrounding area for many years.
