Australian metalcore giants The Amity Affliction head to the Roxy - the Queensland powerhouse will be bringing new record House of Cards as part of their European tour! The progressives Silent Planet, the aggressive Varials and the neurotic Orthodox will perform as accompaniment. An evening full of emotions and total destruction. 1/10/2026, Roxy Prague. This is simply not to be missed!
The Amity Affliction are no longer just "those Queensland boys". Over two decades, they developed into an institution that defined modern metalcore through honest catharsis and themes of inner demons. Although the scene was rocked by Ahren Stringer's departure last year, the band found an adequate replacement in Jonny Reeves (Kingdom of Giants), whose vocals now complement Joel's raw roar in that iconic contrast where pain meets crystal clear choruses. From the cult album Let the Ocean Take Me to the current work, the band retains the ability to write a stadium anthem that takes you to the heavens in the chorus, only to have the subsequent breakdown stomp you to the floor of the Roxy without warning.
Silent Planet represent the intellectual face of the genre. Garrett Russell is not just a frontman, he is a poet who puts deep philosophical and literary research into his lyrics. Musically, the band moves on the edge of progressive metalcore and atmospheric post-rock areas, which makes them one of the most progressive names today. Their sets are both a spiritual experience and a technical balancing act that requires an attentive listener.
Philadelphia's Varials are the pure essence of sonic violence. The band is currently undergoing a major "rebirth", which will be confirmed on February 27, 2026 with the release of the fourth studio album Where The Light Leaves under the Fearless Records label. Produced by Josh Schroeder (known for his work with Lorna Shore), this promises to be the most devastating sound in their history to date. If you're looking for undiluted metalcore aggression and dissonant riffs that leave no one alone, this band is your answer. Varials don't mess with anything, and their groove will force you to move, even if you don't want to.
The evening will be opened by Orthodox, who pump the urgency of nineties nu-metal and the refined brutality of mathcore of the early zeroes into classic hardcore. It's rhythmic, it's unsettling, and it has an incredible pull on the gate. Their unique sound proves that hardcore still has room to grow without losing its original wetness and rawness. The perfect starter for this packed roster.
A must-attend for anyone looking for more than just empty gestures in metalcore - see you in Dlouhá!
