About event
What is it like to live in a lie and a pretense? And what will it bring you if you no longer have to hide who you really are? Where can you find courage if the environment you are in is not exactly friendly towards otherness? What is it like to be gay in the police force? And what is it like to be a lesbian and raise children in a small town in eastern Slovakia?
We will talk about it in the next edition of the Tepláreň live discussion, where former director of NAKA and lawyer of the Stop corruption Foundation Ľubomír Daňko accepted the invitation. Petra Kmecová, the rainbow mom from eastern Slovakia and fundraiser of OZ Zmudri, will also tell her story. The discussion is moderated by Roman Samotný.
You can watch the discussion either in person at the In community center, or online on Teplárne's Facebook and Instagram and on YouTube Queer Slovakia. The debate will be in Slovak. Tepláren live is a series of discussions that bring closer the lives and stories of LGBTI+ people and, through education, strives to build a kinder and fairer society. The event was supported by the Rosa Luxemburg-Stiftung, representative office in the Czech Republic.
