A guided tour will focus on objects whose ancestors is to convey something unearthly to a person - in matter to refine intangible. The Museum of Decorative Arts manages an extensive collection of ritual objects, whose oldest specimens date back to the 12th century. How can we create an experience of something that we cannot fully affect through the human senses? What goes beyond us - God, nature, the universe? The aim of the tour in the permanent exhibition Art, Life There will be objects of Christian rituals, objects with distinctive natural philosophy and finally artifacts with space symbolism. Did their users meet with noble beauty and higher energy, or was it a masterful game of human senses and emotions? Was it really spiritual or politics? And can these two levels exist side by side without degrading each other? Perhaps overcoming the limits and contradictions of the logical and physical world opens the way to elevation.
