Theater | Feminist Shares: Apocalypse Cuíer
Event by: Bibliotecas de Lisboa
Location: Belém Library, Rua da Junqueira 295, Lisboa
About event
The Belém Library challenged Livraria das Insurgentes, to hold a series of conversations and sharing, about lesser-known books and authors, based on an intersectional feminist perspective.
For the November session, Livraria das Insurgentes invites Tony Omolu, a hybrid artist who navigates the waters of dance, theater and performance, a non-binary, black and "artivist" person.
Apocalipse Cuíer, a work in progress, focuses on the work of Tatiana Nascimento who is a black Brazilian writer, slammer, singer, and composer. She writes, produces and publishes books and works by black LGBTQIAPN+ writers.
Based on Tatiana's poems, Tony develops a dialogue with body and vocal scores, evoking the energy of caring to incorporate sensations emerged through reading of the author's words.
Notes:
- the title of the performance is the name of a poem by the author queer apocalypse or apocalypse cuíer A.P. (or Shiva's oriki).
Dynamization: Tony Omolu and Livraria das Insurgentes
Free entry.
