Tangomoania: Duo Todorovski/Giovanetti

Tango at its best with an intimate cast - for everyone who loves tango and is staying in Vienna for the long weekend.

Milos Todorovski: Bandoneon / Ignacio Giovanetti: Guitar

The duo Todorovski - Giovanetti combines the bandoneon and guitar, two instruments that are equally rooted in tango and yet are rarely heard in this intimate line-up. This combination in particular opens up a fascinating tonal spectrum: melody, accompaniment and rhythm are in constant change and flow smoothly from one instrument to the other.

In addition to carefully selected tango classics, the repertoire also includes the expressive compositions of Milos Todorovski. These, like the traditional works, are interpreted by the duo in their own finely crafted arrangements. Todorovski and Giovanetti manage to preserve the characteristic style and language of tango and at the same time enrich it with a subtle pinch of improvisation and influences from different musical worlds.

The program spans a wide range through the history of tango: from early tangos, valses and milongas to tango nuevo and contemporary original compositions. This creates a varied and lively concert experience that combines tradition and innovation in a special way.
