Tanečno + Manuel Ronda: You Only Live Twice

As part of the Creative Days festival, which the Studio Dance Theater organizes for conservatories, we will present a performance by the Tanečno collective under the name YOLT - You only live twice.

The physical theater performance is a reflection of the one-way structural system according to which society is oriented. It points to her paradoxical morality, power games and the loss of orientation when this structure is lost.

MANUEL RONDA / Italy
He studied industrial design at the University of Architecture in Genoa and the School of Modern Dance Theater in Amsterdam. He works worldwide as a dancer, performer and actor - he collaborates with important artists and groups (UltimaVez/Wim Vandekeybus, Rootlesroots/Kapatenea-Fruček, Andre Gingras, Frederic Flamand, Tasya Krougovykh/Pussy Riot...), dramaturgically assists the choreographer Elena Fokine and works as an actor in the children's theater Teatro del Piccione. His solo "El Gran Salto" premiered in Tijuana, Mexico in 2019 and is currently touring worldwide and conducting workshops at the same time.

KOLEKTÍV TANEČNO
Civic association Tanečno is an association of young people active in the field of art, culture and community organization, which is mainly dedicated to activities developing dance art in the Orava region. The year-round activities are mainly based on the organization of the Orava Dance and Movement Festival - Tanečno, which has had six successful years. At this multi-genre festival, several important dance works and personalities have been presented in dance workshops and performances since 2017. The dance festival in the Orava region celebrated a great success among the public, as well as students and dance art enthusiasts of all age categories.
Among the aims of the civic association are the development, creation and preservation of cultural values ​​and the support of education in the field of culture and art, primarily in the field of contemporary dance, especially in the Orava region. The association also fulfills these goals by creating year-round artistic and educational activities in the region. Since among the members of the association there are also representatives of the youngest generation of independent creators and performers of contemporary dance, the collective of organizers also focuses on original work. The association also acts as a creative and performative collective (Passing/station, The Urge, YOLT, Antrophos Anthem, Gentle man, Na hlasku, Be off...)

As part of the association's activities, members make use of the experience gained during their art studies (SEAD Salzburg, MUK Wien, University of Stavanger, VŠMU...) and are part of several artistic groups and institutions (Farma v Jeskyni, MimoOs, Artemporis...).
