Taneční repertoár dlouhého 19. století
Dance repertoire of the long 19th century
Event by: Hana Tillmanová - Historický tanec
Location: Tyršův dům, Újezd 450/40, Praha 1
About event
A cycle of dance lessons dedicated (not only) to group dances of the 18th and 19th centuries.
The observed period includes several costume-varied styles, from the waning Rococo and Enlightenment, Empire and Regency, to Biedermeier, the Second Rococo, Tournament , and Art Nouveau; we will also hone in on western.
The goal is to master the essence of these interesting dances, based on a combination of several typical figures, and thanks to this to master specific period dances so that the graduates can dance them with pleasure at period balls and on other occasions, focusing on the scheduled dance events of the current season. Much attention will be paid to dances to the music of W. A. Mozart, because next year we have a big Mozart anniversary.
The course is suitable for those:
• who want to start with historical dance,
• who would like to go to a period ball, but are afraid that polka and waltz are not enough,
• who have fallen under the spell of group dances based on a combination of simple figures,
and of course for everyone who wants to dance well.
Lecturer: Hana Tillmanová,
who knows well the environment and repertoire of Czech period balls (she leads many of them herself), so she also knows very well which dances to include in the course.< br/>
