Of course, we already know the date of another Scottish dance hall, which is an opportunity to dance Scottish country dances outside of Scottish games and similar events, in beautifully renovated spaces that are specifically designed for dancing.
If you have never danced Scottish country dances, or if you want to repeat the basic steps and figures, come to the sixth. From the seventh hour, we will focus on simpler and more complex dances.
Dances do not need to be learned in advance, nor do you need to remember them! We will go through each dance first without music, we will show and explain more complex or new figures. Dances are written for groups of two or more pairs of dancers, and consist of various spatial figures such as reel, figure of eight, rights and lefts, etc.
Scottish country dances are primarily social dances. However, it is not necessary to come in pairs! What about yourself? We ask for dancing shoes without or with only a small heel (ideally dance shoes), and for clothes that would be closer to social than sports.
