Kolos Swans is moving to another transformation. The cult band led by the charismatic frontman Michael Gira is the essential name of the guitar alternative that has influenced whole genres, over four decades and has never stood in place. Artistically, even in terms of critical acceptance of an extremely successful Reunion, despite the effort for maximum intensity and its processing to find a softer, layered position. The basis, however, has always formed the massive sound of Girov's variable ensemble and almost an alchemical process, when originally acoustic compositions during long tour turned into monumental epics on Postrock's border, Americans and non -German hypnotic repetitions. Swans should also operate in a cut, a more lyrical position that the new recording already refers to, and the current tour is to be the last in a full band assembly. In the end, however, it is possible to infer from the first published song I AM and Tower and the concert record of Live Rope - the novelty will still tear down by the power of sound and not forget why Swans concerts are so often referred to as transcendental experiences. Although dark undertones are still present and the texts go to the body, Swans sounds this time, as in some moments of classic 90's records, strictly euphorically. A large part of Giru's work is confrontational to (self) destructive. In recent years, however, with sincere reflection of old age, there is increasingly joy. Birthing is supposed to be an inspiring accompaniment to dreaming; It should be noted, however, that it will not be easy to wake up from such dreams. Violinist Jessica Moss, who has been on the international scene of experimental music since 2001, originally as a member of Thee Silver Mt. Zion, from the Hiatus group as a solo artist of the Canadian label Contellation.
