St. Martin's lantern procession connected with a charity market

Autumn has begun, to which the St. Martin's Lantern Parade associated with the charity market already belongs.
This year it will take place on Saturday 9 November at 16.30, starting at the district library, then the parade will move to Cooltajner.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THEM
- SAVE THE DATE: St. Martin's Lantern Parade will take place on Saturday, November 9 2024,
- the start of the event is at 4:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the district library - Považská knižnica in Považská Bystrica,
- shortly after the gathering, a procession will go through the city towards Cooltajner, led by St. Martin on horseback,
- after the experience of previous years, we recommend very warm clothes,
- (!) for an unpredictable number of children, everyone provides a lantern for their child themselves,
- instead lanterns can also be used with lanterns or other suitable light objects,
- for safety reasons, we recommend using LED lights instead of candles,
- upon arrival in Cooltajner/Corridor, a program will be prepared for children and adults,
- as the legend of Saint Martin preaches, the event will have a charitable character 🙂
PROGRAMME:
- gathering in the parking lot near the library about 4:30 p.m.,
- please pay attention to the organizers' instructions on the spot,
- the procession starts at 4:45 p.m. from the parking lot, then after the pedestrian zone on Streda to Okružná and M.R. Štefánika streets,
- transfer to Cooltajner ,
- the legend of St. Martin, his cloak and St. Martin's Rožets,
- creative workshops for younger and older children on the theme of autumn and pre-Christmas names and the traditions associated with them,
- a fun theater performance with the Nevadivadlo Theater - Who is afraid, let him go to the forest
- a charity fair with a tasting of young wine from Slovak vineyards, St. Martin's treats for young and old.
