About event
accompanying film program for the exhibition The screening will be presented by film journalist Martin Pleštil and David Havas, curator of the Film Cinema of the DOX - David Lynch Season. -
"The right place of the story is enormously important. Such as the villa in Sunset Boulevard, one of my beloved movies. In that house, I would like to be there! It even happens to me that I go after Sunset Boulevard and say: I wish I could find the house somewhere. The place where it takes place. ” When he gets an offer to rework the screenplay of the extinct star of silent film, he does not hesitate. However, he gradually finds that he and Desmond (in the suggestive and almost autobiographical administration of Gloria Swanson) develop a dangerous relationship between it and the standard and almost autobiographical administration of Gloria Swanson). Wilder's fragile story about the artistic ego takes place in the now forgotten but for the lynch of the mythical world of Hollywood studios that continued to fascinate him. In a balanced cynicism and the empathy of the saturated film, the stars of the silent era gradually defile, including the scene with Cecil B itself B. Demille, but a fantastic scenario full of references for the cinefile audience makes Erich von Echoim as a devoted chamberlain into madness. Later, Lynch himself will make a top study of toxic narcissism of Hollywood, his perhaps the best film Mulholland Drive, where the forgotten surprise will be replaced by an aspiring but unsuccessful young actress Betty in a riveting performance at the time of filming. At the beginning.
for each ticket will be given to a third of the chilled Pilsner Urquell beer (applies to visitors over 18 years of age). In case of bad weather, the projection will be canceled. The money will be returned if the screening has not started yet.Original event source
