“Soul infused rock with southern accents and a filthy London breeze”
“Stone Water rocks and rolls with lots of soul and blues. It sounds wonderfully warm and appealingly analog as the band oscillates between Americana, roots and southern rock. Heartfelt and full of heart and harmony" Musix - August 2023
Stone Water from Hamburg play soul-soaked rock and weave Southern and Americana influences with the sound of Swinging London. Their music is characterized by a lot of “Mississippi mud” from old blues greats, paired with the energy and spirit of traditional 60s bands.
The first two tours last November and at the beginning of the year were a complete success and allowed the musicians to grow together as a band. With the songs from their debut album “Make Me Try”, which was praised by the trade press, with their catchy riffs and jam parts, Stone Water quickly played their way into the hearts of the audience.
“Such Southern Sounds are addictive!" Good Times - June 2024
The experienced musicians have already been able to demonstrate their qualities on tour with numerous bands (including Vdelli, High South, Vanja Sky, Jade MacRae (Joe Bonamassa), Allen- Forrester Volume) prove. With Stone Water you are now embarking on a promising journey that is still in its early stages - but the journey is often more exciting than the destination.
The band makes no secret of their musical roots. She draws from the same source of American roots music that inspired the Rolling Stones, Neil Young, Little Feat, Black Crowes and Tom Petty and brings the tradition into the here and now in her own interpretation.
