Spotlight Beast Band Contest

The competition focuses on the quality that often makes the decisive difference in live music: stage performance.

On April 18th the F23 Concert hall is the meeting point for everyone who not only wants to hear live music, but also wants to experience it. At the finale of SPOTLIGHT BEAST, four selected acts will meet each other who have prevailed from numerous submissions.

These are:

• Black Tape Suicide (alternative heavy rock),
• Danyela Mit Y (German pop/rock),
• UNERHÖRT (modern Austro-pop with dialect lyrics)
• Rië (Soul/Funk)

Each band brings their energy to the stage in a playing time of 20 to 25 minutes.
The focus is on the performance: expression, presence and that special moment in which music and stage merge into an intense overall experience.

​​​​​​​​​The scene duo “Schwarzwald & Seidl”, known from the podcast “Schwarzwald VS Seidl”, will lead the evening pointed moderation, musical know-how and proximity to the audience.

The acts are judged by the audience and a top-class jury from the music business, performance, music coaching and media:

• Christina Kramer (mica - Music Information Center Austria)
• Keji Aregbe (Director of the Académie de Danse)

• Dominik Uhl (Noise Appeal)
• Mag. Irene Schwingenschlögl (Editor-in-Chief at film, sound & media)
