About event
What are the foundations of our company and where is it headed? And what do citizens expect from their elites?
The social contract names the basic agreement between the state and its citizens, what rules of coexistence we accept and what we expect from each other.
In the discussion, we will try to define the values on which Slovak society mostly agrees. The goal is to find a common starting point from which we can reflect when thinking about our future direction.
Together with Dominik Želinsky, a sociologist from the Slovak Academy of Sciences, we will talk about what the social contract means in real life and how it manifests itself in moments when it is violated. Whether it is about growing tension, mistrust or extremism.
The discussion will, as always, be open to your questions.
The event will take place on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. in the Old Lyceum at Konventná 15 in Bratislava.
The number of places is limited. Advance tickets are available through the GoOut platform. The entrance fee is €7.
The discussion is led by Michal Konc.
We look forward to seeing you.
