"It is possible to stop being a parent, so how is it possible to stop being someone's partner? Do people nowadays have children because it's nice, rewarding? Do they consider it necessary to fulfill the partnership? If a mother or father lives alone with a child, do they still form a family?"
The production Kramer vs. Kramer is inspired by the novel by Avery Corman, known mainly for its Hollywood film adaptation. The iconic story about the failure of a relationship and parenting serves the directors as a platform for exploring these topics from the point of view of the present.
What seemed unconventional and socially shocking in the 70s is today common, everyday reality - the incomplete or patchwork family, the crisis of the nuclear family, the high rate of divorce or polyamory. - - - - - - - - - -
