Slzy Janka Borodáča: Outcast / 19:30

The production of the Janko Borodáč-Outcast Theater is based on the memoirs of S. Zweig the world of yesterday, with an interpretation focus for the current tense political and social situation in Europe. Devastation of society and culture, the danger of nationalism and propaganda. In its autobiography, Zweig mediates the image of Old Europe and also brings an important theme of Pacifism with which we, contemporary Europeans, also confront us. We open topics such as generational follow -up, clinical depression, cope with parenting, corrupt judiciary in the loss of a loved one, reflections on emigration and the like. Uncompromising thought fights in physical poems and verbal choreographies are mediated by Gabriela Marcinková and Anna Jakab Rakovská. Zweig as an Austrian, Jew, writer, humanist and pacifist found himself in his life in the turbulent shocks of the two world wars and describes the testimony of "barbarity with the conscious and program dogma of antihumanism". We consider it important to pay attention to his thoughts and creation, which name the characteristic circumstances that a person has brought into such a terrible situation of the loss of human dignity and the transformation of morality. Unless man or nation remember his past, he has no identity. This is one of the goals of the theatrical adaptation and production of Zweig's message, which we want to preserve his thoughts in the most intense physical-text stage form and bring it closer to the audience.

As part of the Outcast production, we use LP plates, which recorded personal authentic recordings of actress Anna Jakab Rakovska to telephone dictaphone from 2021-2022, when it passed through clinical depression. Part of these recordings will be resolved in the production.
