About event
For the eighth time, we will set a long table right in the park of František Suchý and invite the neighborhood and passers-by, known and unknown, to one joint lunch. Come sit down, have something good and have a few words. Every story, every memory and every bite is part of this slow celebration of the good life in Strašnice, which we live together.
PROGRAM
14:00 Shared lunch
15:30 Lecture on re-use centers: about practical ecology and waste prevention, saving money and the environment
16:00 MY:celium – interactive performance, deepening the relationship between body and landscape/park
16:00–18:00 first part of PREPARATION FOR EVERYTHING III. - joint production of tattoos for courage
18:00 Presentation of the gallery in Prostor Olga and guided tour of the current exhibition MELONS & FLAMES
During the whole afternoon: art workshop and neighborhood recycling workshop, ping-pong, hula-hop and other games, plant swap, musical accompaniment.

You can contribute to the neighborhood menu everyone - your cakes, salads, spreads or whatever you like will find their place with us. We will serve, traditionally, in clay plates made by the artist Barbora Dayef.
🍽️ Bring your own cutlery and glass
Please prefer reusable packaging and don't forget cutlery, or a glass. In this way, we minimize the creation of unnecessary waste and live up to the slogan "The best is the waste that is not created."
❓Why do we do it?
The neighborhood lunch was born as a small dream of a new tradition. It comes from the original meaning of the word symbol - from the Greek "sym-ballein", i.e. "to put together". Once upon a time, the symbol was part of a broken object, by which guests could recognize each other years later and were welcomed as old acquaintances. In the spirit of this tradition, we inhabit the park together and with feeling. In this way, we contribute a little to making a clean and safe park come to life through meeting and sharing.
📸 Note about taking photos during the event:
During lunch we will take photos and an audiovisual recording. Our goal is to inform the public about the community event through the media, our own website and social networks. We believe that we will not bother you with this, and at the same time we give you our word that we will carefully and sensibly sort through the recordings before publishing them. Thank you for your understanding and we wish you a good meal.
