In the carbon footprint presents the current work of two young sculptors - Simona Novicka and Tomas Bede. The common motive of the exhibited works is the "binding" of carbon into objects created from the poor and easily decomposed natural materials. The sculptural objects created by casting, excavation and adding are organized into hint architectures or geometrized natural forms using clay, wood, ash and graphite. The gallery space is activated by a radically sensitive and procedurally poetic environmental thinking. The distinctive legacy of these works lies in the silent and deeper residence in the breaks of time. They personify the ritual of engulfing, the beginning and the end, building on decay, and thus distracts the finality to point out not only transience, but also to eternal returns of origin and demise that exceed human civilization.
