About event
The guided walk will introduce the buildings in which art lovers could visit the first public art gallery in Prague since 1796. They will get to know the historical palaces in Hradčany and Malá Strana, which their noble owners gave to the Society of Patriotic Friends of Art – the oldest predecessor of today's National Gallery. Visitors will also get a closer look at the history of the buildings that currently house her collections.
Speaker: Radka Heisslerová is an NGP archivist who is mainly devoted to Prague painting guilds and written sources on the history of fine arts in Bohemia in the 17th and 18th centuries.
