Director Hlynur Pálmason shows with his unique cinematic poetics how much value can remain from love, even when everything seemed to be gone. "I wanted to shoot something simple and straightforward in all respects, to capture the characteristic energy of the film and achieve the inner play between absurd and comic, beauty and ugliness, family and nature, children and parents," said the director.
