At this point almost everyone knows the slogan 'sensitivity is a super power' ... but what does this even mean? And is it, really?

Sensitivity has grown out of its patricarchal cage where it was once seen as weak, as lesser than, as obstacle to true aliveness. A necessary change that was meant to empower those who feel deeply.
.
Only now it has become like an armour that many women wear.
It doesn't help that now it's trendy to be soft: Many women still struggle with overwhelm, helplessness and lack of clarity in choice.
And there's nothing wrong with that.
This evening is not about dissecting the past and finding answers to why things are the way they are, but to provide a soft and stable space that allows you to actually meet yourself, as a sensitive being, and see how that is not a barrier from but a bridge into the world.

Sovereignty is the result of understanding that we are deeply independant with all of life yet able to make our choices not from pleasing, pretending or making ourselves responsible for things that are not ours to hold.

When we learn to truly meet our sensitive nature, our true sovereign heart can emerge.

For most of my life I’ve struggled (hard!) to accept who I am. My sensitivity felt like a heavy weight. I was highly insecure on the inside and pretended to be cool on the outside. I struggled taking responsibility for my life. I just wanted to make art and live unbothered by this civilization.
And while everything felt like too much I also knew that I came here to make impact.
I knew what I was connected to.
I knew that there was greatness in me.
Yet the gap between who I knew I was and who I seemed to be started to feel unbearable. So I consciously chose to destroy myself, drink as much and take as many drugs as I possibly could and at least make sure my descent was filled with pleasure.
But like with all women, the underworld was never meant to destroy me. Instead, it showed me what I was made of.
10 years ago I decided that who I am was worth fighting for. Since then I have invested endless amounts of time, money and energy into myself. I dared to challenge my perception of me. I put skin in the game more times than I can count. I leaned into life more than ever before. I fucked shit up. I hurt people. I learnt from my mistakes. I became masterful at heartbreak. I burnt out.
And you know what?
I would do it all over again...
Because here is what I‘ve learnt:
Nobody can do me. No one on this planet knows what it’s like to be me. There is no formula, no map, no 5-step plan for my becoming. It is all up to me.
The path has been and continues to be far from linear. I am a woman and I was born for it. Every cell of my being is made for this. And so are you. 🌸
