In in the theoretical part of the seminar, we will define the qualities of the discussion as a pedagogical tool in terms of the content and process of the discussion. We will focus on the reflection of the facilitator's role from the point of view of power and the question of what interventions and methods the facilitator can use to develop the quality of the discussion.
A significant part of the seminar will be devoted to practical training of the skills needed to lead the discussion and support the quality of the discussion: monitoring, clarification , summarizing, interrupting, linking posts, working with the record. There will also be space for trying out skills and discussion methods that are an alternative to open discussion. We also address the issue of how to respond respectfully in difficult situations.
We work in smaller groups and together.
