About event
Let's go sketching in the beautiful city archives! Sketchers of all levels are welcome.
The building itself also has many interesting things to sketch, including a cinema room and bank vaults. There is a cafe in the building and across the street.
We will meet at the main entrance at 1:00 PM and have a show and tell there at 3:30 PM.
Entrance to the building is free.
If you want to visit the exhibitions (De Red Light District by photographer Dana Lixenberg and Claim Your Space – Unapologetically Asian), these are also free if you have a museum card. Otherwise you have to buy a €10 ticket, which you have to reserve in advance on their website.
Accessibility for wheelchair or mobility scooter
The central hall is only accessible via stairs via the main entrance. At the entrances of the City Bookstore and Café-Restaurant De Bazel there are lifts that can be operated by users of wheelchairs up to 225 kg. Users of wheelchairs or heavier mobility scooters can use the service entrance at Herengracht 482. Near the Hall, at the main entrance, there is an elevator that leads to the upper floors. To the left of the glass stairs is a lift that can be used to reach the Treasury and Cinema Hall.
It is possible to participate in a guided tour with a wheelchair.
