RUŽINOVSKÝ FOLKLÓRNY FESTIVAL

Get ready for a day full of music, dance and traditions – the Ružinovsk Folklore Festival 2025 will take place on Saturday, November 15, at the Ružinov Cultural Center. Slovak folk songs, dances and customs will once again enliven the halls of this cultural space and bring a unique atmosphere.

This year you can look forward to a varied program in which well-known children's and adult folklore ensembles will perform - DFS Kremienok, DFS Malinky, FS Karpaty and FS Skaličan. The festival will be complemented by accompanying events, creative workshops for children, the sale of traditional Slovak products and an interesting Ornament workshop in many forms.

"The Ružinovsk Folklore Festival is proof that traditions have their place in contemporary city life as well. Folklore unites us across generations and is part of our identity," says the mayor of Ružinov, Martin Chren.

The highlight of the festival will be the performance of the foreign ensemble János Batsányi Táncegyüttes (HU) – legends of Hungarian folklore, who captivated audiences all over Europe with their energy of dance and precise processing of folk traditions. This renowned ensemble, which has been active for more than half a century, will bring to Ružinov the temperament, passion and power of Hungarian dances that the Slovak audience has never seen before.

Their performance will open the festival and promises an artistic experience – a combination of tradition, professionalism and choreography that will get the whole audience dancing. an inspiring path to traditions.

The festival will also be complemented by an accompanying program - performances by the Bystričany Choir or Balážovci Folk Music in the Lower Vestibule.
