A studio of non -professional artists was created and his first lecturer was academic painter Július Koller. He was an extremely creative artist who enriched the original teaching program for weekend meetings carried out in the House of Culture at Kramáre, led art symposia and organized exhibitions of non -professional artists in the gallery at Vajnorská 21. Today's Culture Center. The organizer supplied art material (colors, canvas, thinners ...) and at the end of the concentration ensured the evaluation of the work. The best ones were chosen for the artistic completion of the interior of the culture house. Július Koller led the studio for many years, but in the 1990s he focused on his own conceptual work, where he achieved extraordinary success even at international level. Painter Katarína Kuzmová, later Mgr. Art. Zuzana Pozdechová and subsequently took the lectorship of academic painter Dušan Sekela, who still stays in this position to this day. During this activity, the studio has continued as a civic association since 2013, which later included the free group of the ART club of amateur artists under the lecturer's leadership of Otilia Nierelova Palugyay. Painter Dušan Sekela meets and consists of about 23 artists. Meetings take place as in the past, in the premises of the Culture Center Vajnorská 21, Bratislava-Nové Mesto two weekend days a month. In addition to creation, the members of the studio participate in various organized exhibitions and the studio year always completes the joint exhibition of the latest works in the GV21 Gallery, which has been creating this background for amateur art artists so far. Today's exhibition in the Ruzinov Gallery is a welcome opportunity to introduce their latest work. We are very pleased that from time to time we can also introduce the creation of non -professional authors who, by their activities, enrich the cultural environment of this city district.
Atelier of non -professional artists thanks to the charismatic appearance of July Koller has always had an excellent credit and I am convinced that in the personality of today's lecturer, painter Dušan Sekel, who I have been a great artist and a great man, members of the studio for many years, not only a sensible teacher, but also a very similar human and artistic model. It follows, the authors were inspired by a wide range of motives, and some stylize realistic artistic language into geometric, even abstract positions, or seeking the way of poetic-immaginative expression. The color has become the dominant medium of their work and it seems that they were most interested in nature, the country, even the face of a modern city. Of course, some of them have come to the forefront of a human figure or an animal image. In any case, we thank the lecturer and the organizers for their efforts and the beautiful result of their activities.
