About event
Discover the fascinating world of rums from the island of Réunion and immerse yourself in the unique philosophy of the Savanna distillery. The seminar will introduce the history of the distillery, the specifics of the local terroir and the differences between traditional molasses rums, agricole style and the iconic high-ester "grand arôme" rums that have earned Savanna the respect of the rum community worldwide. A tasting of selected samples awaits you, accompanied by a detailed insight into fermentation, distillation and maturation, including why Savanna rums are today considered to be one of the most distinctive and daring rums of today. The seminar will offer both a technical perspective for experienced fans and an ideal opportunity to understand why Réunion is currently one of the most watched rum regions in the world.
