About event
As part of the Prague book fair Svět knihy Praha, we are presenting an event that is of fundamental importance for Hispanic American literature. The Czech Theater Institute (National Institute for Culture) is working on an anthology that will be published in 2027 and will be dedicated to the most important works of Ramón Valle-Inclán. The Cervantes Institute actively supports this crucial step for Czech literature and theatre, and we believe that this anthology will be of great benefit to the local cultural scene.
Ernesto Pérez Zúñiga, an expert on Valle-Inclána, was invited by both institutions to write a foreword for the publication. This event will be a meeting of a Spanish expert with selected translators and Hispanists working on the anthology, such as Anežka Charvátová, Petr Gojda and Martina Kutková. It will certainly be a spectacular meeting.
