FAREWELL CONCERT WITH THE OLD MAGICAL SPACE HOGO FOGO

21. May 2026 at 19:00 will be an extraordinary evening at Hogo Fogo.

Not an ordinary concert. Not a classic farewell.

It will be an evening when we symbolically thank the space, which in a few years has become one of the most prominent places of the jazz and cultural scene in Slovakia and, according to many musicians and visitors, also a space with European significance.

We have to move out of the old Hogo Fogo involuntarily. Not because we're done. Not because we have lost the will, the strength or the reason to continue. But because the circumstances decided for us.

Hogo Fogo does not end, however.

On the contrary — we are already working on a new chapter. We are renovating new premises in Kapitulská Street in Banská Bystrica, which will be bigger, stronger, technically better prepared and will carry the same spirit, energy and vibe that made you love Hogo Fogo.

We plan to open the new space in autumn 2026.

By then, we will probably become the first nomadic jazz club in the world.

We will continue to organize concerts under the banner of Hogo Fogo in cooperation with our partners and friends in the premises:
NKC Záhrada
and
Stredoslovenské obsvetové stredisko, Dolná ulica

It will not be an easy time, but it is the only right way: don't stop, don't lose the audience, continue the activity and at the same time build a new home for culture.

On farewell the concert will feature an exceptional line-up of super musicians and especially our friends:
Martin Uherek – saxophone
Ľudovít Kotlár – piano
Peter Solárik – drums
Róbert Ragan Jr. – double bass
Pavol Bereza – guitar

And they will be joined by guests who will come to say goodbye to the iconic space in which we spent hundreds of evenings, concerts, meetings, conversations, applause and memories together.

This evening will belong to the music, to you and to the space that has become more than just a club.

Thank you for your support. We would not have managed this period without her. Every ticket bought, every share, every encouragement and every visit to the concert really helps us survive the transition period and complete the renovation of the new Hogo Fogo.

Come say goodbye to the old space.
Not sad. But dignified, cheerful, strong and with music.

Hogo Fogo does not end. Hogo Fogo is moving. And in autumn it will return bigger, stronger and still yours.
