Legendary Jamaican singer Roy Ellis aka Mr. Symarip returns to Prague. Expect a unique voice, show and hits like Skinhead Moonstomp, Must Catch A Train, Stay With Him, Skinhead Girl, or Come On And Dance With Me.
One of the best living Jamaican singers of the old school will play again at the club Malostranská Beseda, where a year ago he baptized his now almost dismantled biography, which was attacked by the Czech music journalist Honza Vedral. This time Roy will come with a new album full of various collaborations with musicians from all over the world.
Roy Ellis, born in Kingston, Jamaica, is one of the key pioneers of ska and reggae. He started his musical career in the 1960s and quickly became famous for his charismatic performance and unmistakable voice. Dubbed skinhead reggae, his music continues to have a huge influence on generations of musicians and fans around the world.
The Prague concert will be a unique opportunity to directly experience a piece of musical history and sing familiar melodies again and stomp a little.
