Rómske zrkadlo / činohra

Once upon a time, a loving king gave the Roma a mirror that was supposed to show them who they were and where they were going. After the death of the king, the Roma ran out into the world and broke the mirror along the way. However, some managed to take a piece of it. The director and author of the theater production On the Roma Mirror has developed this folk tale into a comprehensive drama in four acts, in which we have the opportunity to take a close look into the world of the last Roma nomads. The individual characters authentically show their strong emotions, talent and values that the Roma respect, but at the same time they face the tragic events associated with the Second World War. The drama is based on real historical stories, which are generally little known to the general public.

"The topic of the Roma Holocaust is not known to the majority, the events remain hidden, forgotten. We feel the need to bring these topics and facts to the stage and talk more about them. Thanks to them, we can better understand the Roma and their situation", explains the director and author of the theater production O romskom szkler Naďa Uherová.
