About event
What does "only Slovak culture" even mean? And what does it mean to be Slovak? We don't know... And so we ask ourselves in our production...
"We are making such a play. Slovak. National. So at least the Slovak nation appears in it. It is quite popular because people appear in it . People from the people."
Ján Skalka's Goat's Milk, which is inspired by the production Goat's Milk or You Can't Break the Wall with Your Head, is a dramatic communist campaign that uses elements of village, folk, folklore as tools of propaganda.
Goat's Milk Panoptikum Theater is a funny-bitter conversation about who is and who is not Slovak, what is and what is not Slovak.
"We would like to be some kind of chosen nation. Well, maybe God didn't even like to look at us. We want to be the cute, bushy sheep in the pasture."
Creative team:
Text: Kolektív
Director: Andrej Purkart
Dramaturgy: Martina Havierová, Žofia Kráľová
Scenography and costumes: Kolektív
Starring: Adam Hilek, Márk Mezőszállási, Adam Marenišťák
The creation of the project was financially supported by the Tatrabanka Foundation and the SPP Foundation. Thank you for your support!
