Max Richter: Vivaldi, Vier Jahreszeiten — Recomposed

Join us on May 23rd at 8:00 p.m. in the atmospheric Church of the Resurrection in Vienna for an evening with Antonio Vivaldis

Important! Max Richter will not take part in the concert.

✨ Join us on May 23rd at 8:00 p.m. in the atmospheric Church of the Resurrection in Vienna for an evening with Antonio Vivaldi's famous cycle "The Four Seasons" in a unique interpretation by the contemporary composer Max Richter, performed by the extraordinary Mystery Ensemble.

Max Richter is the composer of the music for dozens of feature films and documentaries. The European Film Academy voted him best film composer in 2008.

He transformed the music of Antonio Vivaldi in the spirit of minimalism and postmodernism. “Recomposed by Max Richter: Vivaldi, The Four Seasons” is one of Richter’s best-known works. After its release in 2012, the recording topped the iTunes classical music charts in over 20 countries.

Max Richter has recorded 12 solo albums and performed at venues including the Barbican Center in London, the Philharmonie de Paris, the Sydney Opera House and the Concertgebouw. His projects include the Sum Opera and the ballet “Infra” (choreographed by Wayne McGregor) at the Royal Opera House. Richter's music can be heard in numerous performances around the world as well as in the films "Shutter Island" by Martin Scorsese, "Perfect Sense" (original title: "Last Love on Earth") by David Mackenzie and "Waltz with Bashir", for whose soundtrack he was awarded "Best Composer" by the European Film Academy.

"The Four Seasons" by Antonio Vivaldi is one of the most famous and most frequently performed works of classical music. The Italian master captured in music how his contemporaries perceived the world and nature in a witty and elegant way. The Vivaldi cycle is both a philosophical reflection of a magnificently illustrated "calendar" and a musical "journey" through the regions of Italy.

The organizers of the concert, the creative agency RED EVENTS & Distribution Ltd, are known for extraordinary cultural events in historic villas, on roof terraces, in greenhouses and other impressive venues in Europe, Great Britain, Azerbaijan, Georgia and other countries. The repertoire also includes candlelight concerts and immersive events with video art and sound experiences. Official website: www.redevents.world
