Radio 1 nablízko: Douglas Arellanes

The sixth face-to-face meeting with the voices of Radio 1, hosted by Jerry Žák and Jana Kománková. Douglas Arellanes will be the pre-Christmas guest speaker. A native of Los Angeles, he moved to Prague in 1992 and from the first day of his work here, his voice was heard on the waves of Radio 1. He regularly broadcasts on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings, focusing on independent music mainly from Latin America. He really likes music that has a groove. In addition to broadcasting, he works as a technologist, marketing consultant and journalism lecturer at the Anglo-American University in Prague. He translates from Czech to English - he is, among other things, the author of the translation of the book Economy of Good and Evil by Tomáš Sedláček, and this year he contributed as a translator to the book and TV series Identita: The story of Czech graphic design.
