Rachmaninov Schmidt

The first piano concert was written by Sergei Rachmaninov as a 17 -year -old teenager. He realized the third part and instrument a year later. The work presents it as an ambitious and energetic author. These features were blocked by the premiere of the first symphony, which imposed the composer in long -term depression and melancholy. The native of Bratislava Franz Schmidt was the heir to the legacy of Franz Schubert, Johannes Brahms and Anton Bruckner. He also liked to use ethnic (Gypsy) idioms. He described the fourth symphony as "Requiem as my daughter", he is the most played Schmidt's work.
