PYT Seniors: Silly Shakespeare – Macbeth & Shout

Silly Shakespeare: Macbeth

brisk and funny adaptation of the classic William Shakespeare tragedy, adapted specifically for students and young viewers. This version shortens the original game into an engaging hour performance and uses rhymes to make the language more accessible and at the same time maintain the essence of the story. The game tells of Macbeth, a Scottish nobleman whose meeting with three witches will encourage his ambition to become a king. Supported by his wife Lady Macbeth embarks on a journey of betrayal and murder that leads to his final fall. The story focuses on Dan, the Bystra of a teenager with a selective mutism - a state that causes that despite their live imagination and the desire to make contacts, it is unable to speak in certain social situations. Dana goes through the complex life of adolescents, faces bullying, examines friendships and tries to find his voice in the world dominated by words.
