Jan Bím took a two -month -old pilgrimage for a 1200 -year -old pilgrimage route around the Japanese island of Shikoku with a visit to 88 Buddhist monasteries. Wild nature, blooming sakura, captivating beauty of monasteries, warm people, culinary experiences, Buddha's teachings, ancient tradition and the world of modern technologies. Every day it walked 18 to 40 km, together with just over 1300 km. Sometimes wild mountains on steep trails, more often on asphalt, quite often along the edge of large roads and tunnels with a strong car operation, agricultural landscape, abandoned coasts, as well as large cities. Almost every day sleeping in a different hotel, guest house, business hotel or monastic hostel. Meeting with pilgrims from all over the world and the locals, but also for days of total loneliness. All possible weather from frost, snow, big wind after pleasant spring days to the beginning subtropical heats. How did it all impress the pilgrim? What has he experienced and how did he turn?
