Ptačí sněm

After a world premiere, a series of sold-out performances in Prague and a one-year tour of France and Belgium, the adventure of the Forman Brothers Theater returns to the Czech Republic.

An allegorical story about birds who long to find the true meaning of all things and restore peace and tranquility to the world. Actors and dancers from many corners of the world embark on a long pilgrimage to meet the new king. On a journey full of adventure, however, they go not only to unknown regions, but also deep into their own inner self.

The production, inspired by the work of the Persian mystic Faríduddín Attár (1145 – 1221), is conceived as a journey to oneself, creating its own world based on the power of images, suggestive movement and an impressive atmosphere.

In addition to traditional theatrical devices, costumes, puppets, masks and distinctive scenography, the creators use a system of powerful projectors, thanks to which the large-format projection turns into a visual landscape of extraordinary intensity and allows the audience to "fly" with the bird heroes through the space of the tent and become part of their story.

The original mobile tent, made especially for Bird Congress, measuring 32.5 x 20 meters, is supported by a reinforced floor weighing 52 tons. The interior with a grandstand for 334 spectators is uniform and without support columns. This creates a perfect connection between the stage and the auditorium, as well as space for richly staged scenes and large-scale decorations.

Entering the world of the Forman Brothers Theater means wandering along exciting paths through which the wind of poetry blows.
