About event
The fight in the church of St. Cyril and Methodius took place on June 18, 1942 between members of the SS and the Gestapo and seven Czechoslovak paratroopers. Among them were Jan Kubiš and Josef Gabčík, who shot Reinhard Heydrich and he later died as a result of his injuries.
The program will guide participants through the church and the crypt, present a documentary film about this event and provide a closer look at the reconstruction of the last hours of the seven paratroopers.
The interpretation will include, for example:
- where did the Nazis get to the church
- how was the battle in church
- how many Nazis died in the event
- why didn't the Nazis simply blow up the church did only Karel Čurda betray?
- how did foreign countries accept this event together with the Soviet Union
- and much more
