In People in Need, we have been helping schools and teachers to introduce a unique modern teaching method of philosophy for children (P4C). At the end of September, we again open the introductory course for all who want to get acquainted with this method and work with it from the beginning. This seminar is then followed by other seminars in which you can further deepen your work with this method. How to easily develop dialogue and cooperation for pupils "will learn:

What is the philosophy for children (P4C)? The basis of philosophy for children is to gradually create the so -called philosophical community - a safe space, where the teacher sends to children incentives that motivate them to think and discuss. It is therefore not a philosophy as a social science discipline, but it is a didactic method. They teach children to ask open, philosophical questions themselves over time. They then examine together through a dialogue during which other questions appear to help explore the topic more thoroughly. Children also learn to express their disagreement with the opinion of the other, question the assumptions, analyze individual topics and consider more aspects and above all to think "differently".
