We are back! We start the spring series Talkshow penetrations with sinologist and writer Dominika Sakmárová and Trenčín psychiatrist and psychotherapist Branislav Moťovský. We will be able to find #prienky in these seemingly different topics?
✍️ Dominika Sakmárová comes from Spišské Podhradie, studied sinology and is a successful writer. He focuses on the spread of knowledge about Chinese and Korean culture through books, discussions and lectures. She drew her experiences and knowledge during her stays in Taiwan, China and South Korea. Her books of cat fur coat and camel by the Wall of China, Korean gnocchi and a cat drawn eagle from the Far East. However, in the Book of the White City, which was published at the end of 2024, he returns to Spiš and tells us magical stories from his native region. Dominika also deals with Slovak folklore, leads a folklore group and is a passionate collector of costumes. He studied at the Jessenius Faculty of Medicine of Comenius University in Martin. Until 2021, the Sleep Laboratory of the Psychiatric Clinic was led in Trenčín, whose activity is now suspended, but will again operate again in the autumn of 2025. In its practice, it emphasizes understanding and supporting people suffering from mental disorders and is actively involved in the spread of enlightenment in order to combat mental health stigmatization. In his free time he likes to travel, play in the band guitar, devotes himself to his family and his dog 🙂
