Energy transition and Co. as a way out of the crisis

The mood in Austria's economy is clouded. According to a PWC survey, only 14% of CEOs in the country believe in economic growth this year. Whole industries such as the construction sector or the auto industry are in crisis mode. In addition, there are announcements that the next government's savings package could lead to drastic cuts in important funding. A recently published study of the context of the Institute for Climate issues and the Boston Consulting Group Technologies could triple over the next 5 years. And the opportunities of the ecological economic transition go far beyond pure growth, especially for countries such as Austria. The energy transition, mobility transition, heat transition and the transformation to the circular economy can strengthen competitiveness and create new jobs. With more independence in energy and raw materials, we can also increase the resilience of our industry against global crises, so that oil or gas price shocks will soon be a thing of the past. Resilient transformation of our economic system - we speak at a joint press conference of the Climate Lab, the context institute for climate issues and the Circular Economy Forum Austria.
