About event
In one evening, the Studio Dance Theater will present the premiere of two original works in the QUAKE format, signed by members of the artistic ensemble Ľubomír Kútnik, Jack Strömberg and Eunjeong Oh. These are shorter formats created directly by the members of the artistic ensemble, which are based on their dramaturgical and choreographic concepts and show that dance transcends the boundaries of its discipline and its home scene. Ľubomír Kútnik – BEAT-Line
BEAT-Line is a choreographic work by Ľubomír Kútnik about returning to one's own naturalness and authenticity. It is based on the idea of a person shaped by the environment from which he comes — a person who adopts the patterns of behavior necessary for functioning, adaptation and survival, but at the same time can subtly distance himself from himself. The work follows the process of awareness, confrontation and processing of experiences, emotions and inner layers that shape us, and aims to rediscover identity and return to what is natural to us.
The basic expressive principle of the production is the connection of movement and music. The body becomes a resonator that hears, feels, expresses and visually interprets sound and emotion in space. The rhythm, vibration, dynamics and character of individual instruments are transformed into physical expression. Through improvisational principles, partnering and working with structure, a space is created in which bodies connect with each other, influence and transform. BEAT-Line is a path of movement, sound, emotion and energy that seeks authenticity in the tension between synchronization and dissonance, impulse and decay, regularity and its disruption.

Jack Strömberg and Eunjeong Oh – Solitary, Not Alone
Solitary, Not Alone is a choreographic work created by Eunjeong Oh and Jack Strömberg.
In a twenty-minute dance journey, the actors and actresses go through the periods of life — their own lonely journey, but at the same time in the presence of others who are walking theirs. The work celebrates the quiet joys of being and, through movement, invites us to think about the inevitability of the other: how our individual journeys are inscribed in the image of communities — local, national and international. The production is a call to empathetic cooperation for the benefit of growth and personal maturation
